COIN’s “Innovate-in-8″ (i-8) Program provides STEM researchers and STEM related companies an opportunity to present their ideas in a “pitch-like” format using up to 20 slides and limited to 8 minutes. I-8 event attendees will be surveyed after each presentation to provide feedback for all presenters. The i-8 Program is part of COIN’s ongoing efforts to promote STEMpreneurship across North Carolina.
The i-8 Event is being hosted in cooperation with Frontier II and structured to provide area STEMpreneurs the opportunity to present their innovations and network with other STEM and non-STEM entrepreneurs and further promote innovation across companies, researchers and areas of technology. Third TuesdayEvents are free and sponsored by COIN Members. The survey of i-8 attendees will provide feedback on the organization, development of content, delivery, and impact of the presentations.
Both i-8 and Third Tuesday are designed to further COIN’s Mission to educate, inform and network innovative researchers and companies that leverage to tools and techniques of nano and biotechnology across industries including biotech, medical devices, ag bio, and the material sciences.

Brought to you by NC COIN
The North Carolina Center of Innovation Network (COIN) will be hosting a half day conference, “Rethinking Your Intellectual Property Strategy” on Friday June 26th, at the Embassy Suites Raleigh/Durham, Research Triangle.
Not only will attendees learn more about the latest changes in Patent Law, they will also learn how to more effectively integrate their IP Planning into their overall Business Planning activities. Even more critical in today’s globally connected business environment, attendees will learn vital information about protecting their organizations from non-traditional threats, not typically discussed at such conferences.
Because COIN and its sponsors recognize the importance of providing this information to North Carolina companies and researchers, they have made this conference available to everyone, no matter their financial constraints, by reducing ticket costs significantly.
